I was born on the 17th April 1989, in East London, South Africa. Since a kid, I was always focused, determined, and athletic. I started bodybuilding when I was 14 years old, which was in 2004. At that time I was a very good rugby player, playing rugby at wing, broke numerous records at track and field and got bursaries the whole of my school career.
A number of injuries really set me back, to the point where I couldn't train and started putting on too much weight. I wasn't happy with myself and was the most miserable person on earth. I therefore decided to join a local gym and, after just a few months, I started to see incredible results. The bug bit me and I got more interested in building muscle. Then someone put a poster of a local bodybuilding show up in our gym, which caught my interest. Suddenly I had a new goal in mind. Since I was was young I was always goal orientated and self driven which I got from my father who was a brilliant sportsman and someone who I looked up to.
After 6 months of training with minimal knowledge of training and nutrition, I cam 3d in my first show which was in june 2004, two months after that I won my first show," wabba nationals". From that point on I never looked back and have enjoyed every competition ever since.
Since I met my new trainer and nutritionist, Roy Butterton, my bodybuilding career has advanced to another level. With the knowledge and guidance he has given me there has been no backing down, the future today, looks brighter than ever!
Currently I am working as a personal trainer and I am one of the fortunate bodybuilders that can say I am making a career out of bodybuilding. I am busy furthering my studies, as I would like to be one of the best professional trainers out there!
My next goal is to win the overalls at nationals this year , which will be in Port Elizabeth. From there on, my biggest goal is to become a successful, pro bodybuilder and to set foot on the Olympia stage and my journey has just begun!
